I've hacked together a little package to make ZuluPad a little more USB drive friendly.
What it adds:
- Encryption - using a free implementation of the Diamond2 algorithm, it asks for a passphrase
- Registry Cleanup\Restoration - this will back up your windows ZuluPad settings, and update the 'last run' path to a 'main' wiki
Note on encryption: I can't vouch for how strong the encryption is, so use at your own risk. If you put in the wrong passphrase, a file will be created, but it's a garbage file. The only file that is encrypted is "LifePad.zulu", which is stored as "LifePad.zulu.enc" in the same directory.
To use:
1) Extract the files included into the same folder as ZuluPad.
2) Run "PortableZuluSetup.vbs" and choose a passphrase.
3) Run "PortableZulu.vbs" and enter your passphrase to edit.
What to do if you have a .zulu you want to import:
Go through steps 1 and 2. Start "PortableZulu.vbs'. then, when it is open, copy your .zulu file over LifePad.zulu. Close ZuluPad without saving, and your .zulu will be encrypted and ready to go.

I'll put a page up for it soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email me at portablezulupad [at] hitoma [dot] com
